What other water sports do you do and how long?

Windsurfing for 30 Years, got in early on the windsurf foil side of things, I saw my friend Nik Baker foilwinging in his back yard , totally hooked from that moment onwards.

What do you like about wing foiling?

The "magic carpet" feeling and the freedom of expression.

How did you learn and how long did it take you to wing foil?

I came from windsurf foiling, it took a couple of hours I guess to get some decent flights.

What is your favorite gear combination and why?

Fanatic 5.0 sky wing board (just the right volume 70L , Fanatic foil 1500 front wing and the Duotone 4m echo wing.

What was your favorite wing surfing session?

Staying dry

What do you want or believe will significantly improve the wing foiling gear?

Lightweight products to allow even bigger jumps and tricks, the compactness of it is already a real game changer from Windsurfing kit.

What tips or recommendations do you have for anyone who wants to start?

Yes , don't go for the board you want to ride on , hire a board with loads of volume for a few weeks to get the hang of it, them get the board you want , the progression curve is steep and people soon find themselves wanting different kit after then get the hang of it.

What is your biggest water sport achievement?

Windsurfed on the UK tour managed to go from amateur class to pro fleet, that was a big one for me, came 4th in the Foil windsurfing class 2019.
