What other water sports do you do and how long?

I have also been kitesurfing since 2008, just like surfing and SUP.

What do you like about wing foiling?

I like its ease of implementation. To be able to access any body of water. To be able to benefit from all the wind conditions and the freedom of maneuvers. The glide is just exceptional.

How did you learn and how long did it take you to wing foil?

I started on my own without lessons in November 2020 during the Covid19 pandemic. I started on the beach with mountainboard and on the water as soon as the health crisis situation allowed me. It took me about ten trips to learn the basics but the lesson does not end, it always continues.

What is your favorite gear combination and why?

Today, after several hardware tests, a few brands. I stopped at Fanatic with the Skywing 2, 95L in 5.3 / Slick in 6.5 and 4m2 / aluminum foil 3.0 in 92 cm 1750 and 1250 cm2.

What was your favorite wing surfing session?

At each session, the magic operates. depending on the weather conditions the spot is different, waves, flat, choppy water. I like the speed just like the jumps. I have just exceeded 20 knots in maximum speed and I would like to approach 26 knots and improve my rotations during the jumps.

What do you want or believe will significantly improve the wing foiling gear?

Fluid mechanics, hydrodynamics and technologies will make the wing evolve very quickly in the years to come. Lift and speed are the key words of the subject.

What tips or recommendations do you have for anyone who wants to start?

Don't skip the steps. Start with a suitable board, on calm and secure water to quickly acquire the basics and move towards a more radical practice.

What is your biggest water sport achievement?

Posing for the GPEN poster for the first official FFV Wingfoil competition.
