Questions & Answers
What other water sports do you do and how long?
I started bodyboarding as a teenager. I then spent years kiteboarding and surfing. These days all of my ocean time is taken up with foiling 🌊
What do you like about wing foiling?
I love the freedom of being able to explore the ocean, I also like being self-sufficient, using the power of the wing to tow myself into waves that would otherwise be un-rideable
How did you learn and how long did it take you to wing foil?
I started on a 6ft SUP foil board in flat water. By my second session I could go upwind and was getting the hang of transitions. Coming from a kite and foil background really helps here.
What is your favorite gear combination and why?
I like small boards from Sunova and small foils from Axis, right now the 700HPS is really doing it for me. I feel more connected to the waves, I also love prone foiling so it’s nice to be able to ride the same gear.
What was your favorite wing surfing session?
I live in Western Australia. Everyday is a best-ever session 😄 Abundance of 💨 and 🌊
What do you want or believe will significantly improve the wing foiling gear?
It is already growing and developing so fast, I can see stronger, more durable equipment which will be suited to a larger range of conditions manufactured from environmentally sustainable products 🌱
