I’m a girl who saw my boyfriend having his best time out in the waves with his wing, so I got some gear for myself and went to join him. And now I’m hooked!!

Questions & Answers

What other water sports do you do and how long?

I have always loved water, but never been doing any water sports. I have take some surf lessons when I been out traveling and for two years ago I started to enjoy the Swedish surf waves. Otherwise I’ve been playing behind the boat the last couple of years with wakesurf and then wakefoil.

What do you like about wing foiling?

The best thing is the feeling of flying. That’s all I’ve experience so far and I just wants more!! Seeing my bf, I know it’s more.. Then it is so nice that you can wing almost anywhere, even in our home lake which is perfect. More time in the water!

How did you learn and how long did it take you to wing foil?

I learned the wing and the foil separately. Started to manage the foil behind the boat and the wing on a big old windsurfer board. After I put the two parts together it maybe took me 4-5 sessions until I started to fly. It’s a never ending learning progress and I have so much more to learn! Can’t wait!

What is your favorite gear combination and why?

My F-One Rocket Wing 5’4 board, Swing 5’0 and Phantom 1480 foil. Easy for takeoffs and good lift with the foil in small conditions. Perfect for me!

What was your favorite wing surfing session?

The first experience of flying in silence, amazing feeling! Then every single session.. I learn new things every time I’m out!

What tips or recommendations do you have for anyone who wants to start?

For someone with no experience from before (like me) you should, if you have the opportunity, learn the foil behind a boat and the wing on a larger board without foil. Then put it together and just go for it!
