What other water sports do you do and how long?
I’ve been kiteboarding for 2 years and I’ve been winging 5 months. I’m a sponsored team rider for F-one.
What do you like about wing foiling?
I like everything. Its much safer then kiting. I can get out on the water 3x faster than kiting and it just flows really nice.
How did you learn and how long did it take you to wing foil?
It took me 4 days to learn but I already knew how to foil so it was pretty easy.
What is your favorite gear combination and why?
My 28L prone board. My 2.8 wing and my 530 escape race foil is a perfect combination for huge jumps.
What was your favorite wing surfing session?
In Hood River Oregon. 20-25 knot winds at the hatchery. The swell can be waist to head high there sometimes and just sets up the perfect kicker.
What do you want or believe will significantly improve the wing foiling gear?
I think more and more contest will improve the gear because they Will specifically design higher quality stuff.
What tips or recommendations do you have for anyone who wants to start?
Start on a big board and a big foil. Go upwind at your local spot. 15 minute downwinders is the fastest way to learn.
What is your biggest water sport achievement?
Getting picked up by F-one.
